Forge of Destiny(Xianxia Quest) Original - Fantasy (2024)

Woo! Thunderdome Remix!

Art, Techniques, Spirits, and Equipment recap!

Ling Qi: See front page!

Sun Liling: Finally we see what she does when she goes all (?) out.
- Scarlet Devil Raiment: Opening requires having blood out, questionable if the cut that she does has ritual significance, if she can use her own blood already spilled, or if she can use other people's blood (per assumption made by Dominion's Blood magic references)
-- Blood Element: Very clear, might grant the excess blood, healing or toxic (Aggravated) effect
-- War Element (?): Considering that the Scarlet Devil is implied (three faces, extra arms) to be an asura, though perhaps specifically Buddhism asura, then there might be an element about War or Combat...
-- Lung Meridian: Either her blood becomes enhanced by Qi or her Qi becomes blood, and forms many shapes, from mist aura, armor, weapons, to functional limbs and even to hails of shards
-- Arm Meridian: Weapon constructs, and hail of blood shards
-- Other Elements/Meridians: Possibly Spine, Leg, and Heart?
-- Techniques:
--- Scarlet Devil Armament (?): Creates weapons and armor from blood
--- Scarlet Devil Visage (?): Adds the form of an asura, either slowly so long as combat on going, or depending on how much blood is spilled
--- Red Thorn Death Flight: Basically Gae Bolg, the signature spear type Noble Phantasm of F:SN's Cu Chulainn, used in its second Anti Army form. Hopefully there is no first Anti Unit form...

- Spirit: Blood berserker nymph? Might be reinforced by Sun Liling's own blood mist aura
- Equipment: She is shown to use all blood gear, but might actually use less conspicuous ones since she still has Equip bonuses

Cai Renxiang: We also sees some of her Arts and Techniques
- Bright Star Wind+Heaven Spine+Leg+Heart Art
-- Wind Element: She flies, nuff said
-- Heaven Element: She is shiny
-- Leg Meridian: She flies, nuff said
-- Spine Meridian: She is shiny, unclear of effect, but it might give her some Dodge and Attack bonuses
-- Technique:
--- Rising Star (?): She gets to fly, and there's the light aura

- Spark Blade Heaven Arm Art (?): Probably quite similar with Falling Stars but for melee weapons or sabers in specific
-- Heaven Element: Lighting strikes
-- Arm Meridian: It is clearly an Attack art
-- Technique:
--- Spark Slash: Lightning strikes extends her saber's reach, giving her range and helps her keep her high ground advantage from flying

- Spirit/Equipment (?) : Liming, the dress, possibly reinforces her Heaven element and physique, possibly helps with flight, and unravels at it takes damage on itself
- Equipment: Oversized dark-blue saber, seems to be sheathed in Liming's threads, allowing it to be retrieved from far away and potentially being puppeteered by Liming

Kang Zihao: Lots! Information! Here we are shown another side of the super-speed charger Kang, with a leader and tank build he apparently has.
- Celestial Warden (?)
-- Heaven Element: From the name of that Technique (Celestial), possibly to help the perception and reaction
-- Wind Element (?): There's some strange movements in the air when he reinforces flagging morale
-- Metal Element: Metallic skin
-- Heart Meridian: He (tried to) defends his teammate and reinforces flagging morale
-- Spine Meridian: Metallic skin and reinforce reflexes
-- Head Meridian: To spot incoming attacks
-- Technique:
--- Celestial Aegis: Apparently a Defensive technique, possibly against self or teammates

- Heavy Wind (?): A Crowd Control Art, possibly also helps with his charge
-- Wind Element: We see strange movement in the air while he stalls Meizhen
-- Leg Meridian: More of a debuff to movement, but who is to say that there aren't any move Techniques?
-- Technique:
--- Captive of the Wind (?): Expending Qi to keep a target from moving away? Expending Qi to defend self?

- Steel Armament (?): Possibly the spear Art
-- Metal Element (?): His skin turned metallic when he was charging
-- Arm Meridian: If he has a spear Art, it would have to have some
-- Technique:
--- Steel Lunge: Possibly the charge he used to attack Ling Qi before, questionable if the metal skin is part of the technique (DR while charging) or part of his Celestial Aegis

- Spirit: Iron Collar White Doggy, seems to have a Perception or tracking (Mark), and possibly has some Metal element (Steel Lunge) and Heaven element (coloration)
- Equipment: The same spear and shield pair he used before

Bai Meizhen: Not much that we haven't seen before, though I note that some of her Arts possibly requires her moving slowly to her target(s)
- Dark Water Mantle Water+Darkness Arm+Lung+Heart Art (?): A possibly defensive water mantle that can turn into shards of ice, also has terror effect?
- Shadow Sway Darkness Leg Art (?): A dodge type defensive art, possibly with shadow-port but we haven't seen one
- Golden Eye Head+Heart Art (?): A gaze-based terror aura, as well as some perception bonus
-- Technique: Imperial Gaze
- Spirit: Cui, huge acidic snake
- Equipment: Metal ribbon cat o' nine tails

Gan Guangli: Not much that we haven't seen before
- Giantblood Form (?):
-- Spine+Spine+Spine+... Meridian: Reinforces his physique heavily, as well as slowly but surely increasing his size, allowing him to 'face tank'
-- Arm Meridian (?): It is meta-mentioned that he uses Stamina as his attack stat
-- Techniques:
--- Giant Form (?): Basically increases his size, physical stats, and toughness as time goes
--- Giant Smash! (?): Basically smashes his fists down, unclear whether there's a Technique or that is just a physical attack reinforced by his passives
- Equipment: Pair of massively spiked gauntlets

Han Fang: A jump-slam scattering Thunder attack, possibly reinforced and then comboed with Han Jian's Wind/Dust Art
Han Jian: A Wind/Dust devil (the weather phenomenon, not literal devil) slamming unto Kang's minion

Huang Da: Barely shows anything
Xuanshi: Earth-based defensive Constructs

Ji Rong: Hard to tell which is which, but he probably has Fire Art aiding his Unarmed/Cestus attacks. He also has some Heaven Art, possibly movement since it wreathes his ankles in lighting, possibly even more Unarmed enhancer. There's also the steaming red tattoo, but we're unclear if it is from whatever Sun Liling gave him or simply his own Art.

Lu Feng: So sad, barely shows any abilities
Kang's minions: Used Formations to apply physical debuffs

Again, these are hypothesis!

Onto the combat turns!

First Round:
- Ling Qi uses Against the Wind on Red Cultivator as a Surprise Attack!
-- Kang Zihao's Celestial Aegis is triggered but failed!
-- Red Cultivator wastes 2 Qi to escape injury!
-- Kang's Minions and Lu Feng get debuffed
-- Ling Qi uses Pithy One Liners as Free Action! Sun Liling approves!

- Sun Liling activates her Arts to form armor and spear before charging Cai Renxiang!
-- It was blocked but causes shockwaves!
- Gan Guangli powers up and charges Lu Feng!
- Lu Feng dodges and the attack misses!
- Cai Renxiang calls on her Spirit/Dress, henshins into magical girl and flies up!

- Ji Rong powers up and charges Xuanshi!
- Xuanshi blocks with stone wall!
-- The stone wall is destroyed but Xuanshi is unscathed.
- Huang Da vanishes from sight!

- Meizhen activates her mantle and gaze Arts and calls on Cui!
-- Kang's minions are demoralized!
- Kang Zihao buffs his debuffed minions!
- Gu Xiulan attacks Kang Zihao with a fire beam! It was blocked by his shield

Second Round:
- Ling Qi activates Mist and Diapason, and expends Qi to include unnamed allies...

- Sun Liling activates more Arts! She gets a pair of skeletal arms that wield jagged blades! She calls on her spirit!
- Cai Renxiang sweeps blinding light rays through her blade! She is encased in a light corona!

- Sun Liling's spirit uses an enchanting aura...
- Cui attacks the spirit and breaks the charm! The spirit drops the charm and becomes berserk!

- Kang Zihao calls on his Dog, activates his Arts, and charges Meizhen
- Spirit Doggy charges Ling Qi! Ling Qi uses Crescent Grace to dodge!
- Kang's Minions use a Physical debuff Formation art!
-- Ling Qi throws off the debuff!
- Gu Xiulan attack Spirit Doggy! It misses because of the Formation debuff!

- Huang Da is thrown away by Ji Rong's punch!

- Han Fang arrives in the scene and scatters Kang's Minions with a Jump-Slam!
- Han Jian combos in and attacks the Yellow Minion with a dust-devil!

Third Round:
- Ling Qi pulls out bow and attacks Spirit Doggy!

- Kang Zihao forces Meizhen to engage in stalling duel!

- Sun Liling kneecaps everyone with

Gae Bolg's Soaring Spear that Strikes with Death

Red Thorn Death Flight!
-- Ling Qi wounded!
-- Mist is dispersed!
-- Kang wounded!
-- Meizhen slightly wounded!
-- Xiulan injured!
-- Spirit Doggy seems uninjured!
-- Kang's Minions are taken out!
-- Han Fang taken out as he blocks all damage to Han Jian!
-- Huang Da heavily wounded!
-- Ji Rong wounded and injured!
-- Xuanshi unscathed but low on Qi!
-- Gan Guangli bloodied but still STRONK!
-- Lu Feng is taken out!
-- Cui and berserker spirit don't care! Both are heavily wounded but still going strong!

- Cai Renxiang fires off a powerful ray! Sun Liling is hit, but relatively unharmed except for her armament!
-- Cai Renxiang is tired! Sun Liling uses Taunt! Cai Renxiang uses Retort!
-- Cai Renxiang demands for Sun Liling's surrender! Sun Liling laughs it off!

Analysis-wise, it might be that Sun Liling has some trump card, but it is also possible @Hangwind have it slightly right... Though instead of forgetting about vultures, Sun Liling is instead counting on it, or actively instigated vultures to come.

A logical-side whispers to me that she might have started the fight to play at being the Barbarian at the gates, to test out the State that Cai wishes to form, because if it is never tested then it might crumble when facing unexpected disasters.

A paranoid-side also whispers that she might have provoked the combat in order to show the lower peers that Cai's officials can be beaten (the theory about cops' authority is only in the head, and that they are always outnumbered), and this might embolden lower ranks and Sun Liling might create her own faction with her own lower ranks with this scene, win or lose.

A different paranoid-side (I am quite paranoid) whispers that she might even had called on older Outer Disciples...

Again, these are assumptions and opinions! Woot!

Now I go out under the sun! To shopping!

EDIT: MORE PARANOIA! SUN LILING IS COLLECTING BLOOD ENERGY TO DO A MASS HEAL FOR HER FOLLOWERS! WHEE, PARANOIA!

EDIT^2: @yrsillar has Liked this post.

+blank face+

A tiny logical side of me is saying -exasperatedly- that he might have liked it because of any number of things, the long recap and analysis, the comparisons, and WMGs.
But it is drowned by the cacophony of my paranoid sides are generating as they gibber in terror and run around like (imaginary) headless chickens.
